We want roads that serve communities well. To achieve this, we are looking at potential alternatives for Elwert and Edy roads with a set of goals and objectives in mind:
Enhance safety and operational performance for all users consistent with future urban conditions.
Create a roadway connection that maintains mobility, connectivity, supports Sherwood West’s planned future development, and balances regional mobility with local access and aesthetics.
Protect sensitive natural systems such as Chicken Creek and its greenway corridor and considers private property and utility impacts.
Identify a preferred alignment that is practical, cost-effective, constructible, and maintainable over the long term.
